- 1.What temperature range is ideal for wearing my Shivers?

- What are Shivers made of?
Shivers are made of 5% polyester, used mostly in the sock and hip area. Polyester is used because of its wear ability qualities. 10% Spandex is used throughout Shivers for its strength in form filling and elasticity qualities. 85% Nylon is used throughout Shivers for its strength and comfort. - What happens if I get my Shivers wet while I am wearing them?
Shivers are the first line of defense against cold weather and were designed to be worn under other clothing that you would normally wear for cold conditions. Shivers are made to keep you warm and comfortable, however; if your Shivers become severely wet from snow, ice or water you will need to remove them and allow them to dry before continuing to wear them in cold weather conditions. - Why do Shivers have a sock attached to them?
The special reinforced woven sock attached to the bottom of Shivers is a unique design. The sock is attached to the bottom of Shivers to cover you from toe to waist and block out the cold from your entire lower body. Back to Top »
- Is it OK to wear my own socks over my Shivers socks?
Layers of clothing always work the best to keep you warm so, yes, it is fine to wear socks over your Shivers socks. An athletic sock fits very comfortably with your Shivers socks. Back to Top »
- What does it mean “Stay Warm…No Sweat” with Shivers?
Sweat from your body needs to evaporate as quickly as possible, that is why we designed Shivers by using a unique knitting process with special fibers. Shivers will keep you warm while you are in the cold climate but when you go indoors you will not sweat because your body is able to “breathe” while wearing your Shivers. Back to Top »
- How long will it take for my order of Shivers to arrive?
All Shivers orders are sent from the United States. If your order is placed before noon on a weekday, please allow 2-3 business days to process your order. Depending on where your delivery location is, your Shivers should arrive within 10-14 days of your initial order. Back to Top »
- How do I wash my Shivers?
Shivers are made of polyester, nylon and spandex and can be washed in a washing machine on a normal cycle with cold water. To make your Shivers last a very long time, we suggest you hang them up to dry. However, if they do manage to go through the dryer they will be just fine. Back to Top »
- A lot of clothing products are manufactured in textile mills in other countries. Where are Shivers made?
Shivers are made in a textile mill in Asheboro, North Carolina. All of the material used to make Shivers comes from the United States. Shiverswear Inc. meets all of the NAFTA requirements as 100% made in the USA. Back to Top »
- What color are the socks attached to the bottom of Shivers?
Shivers come in a variety of colors. The sock that is attached to the Shivers is knitted on when the Shivers are first made and the process of dying the Shivers in different colors is done with the sock attached. Therefore if the Shivers are Navy blue the sock will be a lighter Navy blue; if the Shivers are black, the sock will be a lighter black/grey color. Back to Top »
